The freestanding greenhouses are manufactured by Omni Growing Systems. Omni was the original designer of the reinforced arch greenhouse system ( Now copied by many manufacturers ). The reinforced arch design is comprised of a top and bottom arch welded together with 5/16" round diagonal bracing. The top and bottom cords are constructed in 1-1/2" round tubular steel. The end result is a very strong house that will withstand very high snow and wind loads, and support a lot of overhead hanging equipment and material. (35 LB / sq. ft. snow load design !!! ) The typical arch spacing on the smaller houses is 6 feet on center. The most common cladding material for the freestanding structures is a double 6 mil poly roofing system. The freestanding structures can also be clad in hard covering such a single wall corrugated polycarbonate and twin wall polycarbonate. A host of options and upgrades are as listed below. The following illustrations indicate general dimensions and construction features of the various sized houses available.
