This package provides the grower with a totally
enclosed double poly clad structure with two roll up
sidewalls. The dimensions are 40 feet wide X 144 feet
long. Note. This structure is provided with reinforced
arches and uprights spaced at 6 feet on center. A

Starter House GCS 40X144FS/DP/DP/RU
This package provideds the grower with a totally
enclosed double poly clad structure with two roll up
sidewalls. This structure is provided with arch spacing
at 6 feet on center, verses 4 feet on center ( our
standard ) and provides for moderate snow and wind loads.
( 15 lb/sq. foot total load ) design. Windbracing for
each corner has been doubled up ( 2 - xbraces per corner
).
This
package includes a series GCS freestanding structure that
is 40 feet wide X 144 feet long.
The series GCS structure is provided with gothic shaped
reinforced arches and arch uprights, which are the same
as the series FS, but are placed at 6 feet on center
along the length of the structure. Our polysaver ridge
purlin system is included plus 8 runs of roof purlins (
which are clamped on the inner cord of the arch - away
from the poly ). Each corner is provide with windbracing.
Gable ends are provided with windbracing. Foundation
ground sleeves are provided for each arch set. The end
arches are provided with factory installed wire lock.
Aluminum base plates c/w built-in wire lock is provided
to secure the poly along the sidewall. ( Our aluminum
base plate is a structural member - there is no need for
a wooden base plate. ) Double poly roofing is provided
which is 6 mil, 4 year, UV stabilized. Both gable ends
are provide with metal framing members and double poly
cladding. One end is provided with a 8'X8' double door
package which is clad in Twinwall polycarbonate. Door
package includes door frame, hinges, latches and door
stop. Wire lock is provided on the gable ends to secure
the poly.
This
package is provided with two roll up sidewalls. Each
complete with roller pipe, hand crank, wind restraints
and guides. An extra row of aluminum base is provided for
each roll-up to act as a header for the vent system. This
insures that the balance of the roof poly is still
adequately secured to the structure when the roll ups are
in use.
