GCS-5500 FLOW METER CONTROLLER

Model GCS5500 is an industrial grade flow meter / batch controller manufactured by SIGNET.

This flow controller is specifically designed for simple single function batching system. A user selectable menu provides easy configuration of current and relay options. Use the 4 to 20 mA output signal to send data to a recorder or data aquistion system, or to proportionally control a valve. Relays provide simple on/off control of pumps, injectors or alarms. Pulse output lets you start , stop, or resume controller from your computer if required.

The front panel features a reversible analog dial; a microprocessor based alphanumeric two line, 16-character LCD; and four-button key pad. Controller even features a backlit LCD for reading display in diml lit areas. Security code access sequence protects your programmed settings from tampering ; nonvolatile memory saves data in case of power failure.

Controller operates on 12 to 24 VDC/VAC. Controller is compatible with all Signet flow sensors ( as described below ). Unit includes mounting brackets, panel gaskets. Unit can be programmed for gallons of litres.

Ideal for both pneumatic and electronic injector control.

FLOW SENSORS FOR GCS5600

MODEL GCS32500-00 for Pipe sizes 1/2" to 4" .
MODEL GCS32500-02 for Pipe sizes 5" to 8".

Measure low flow rates in almost any size pipe. These sensors are an open core rotor with a small magnet in each of the four blades. As they rotate, the magnets pass a Hall effect sensor, which generates a lineal frequency output that is proportional to the water flow velocity. The signal can travel up to a 1000 feet with out amplification.

Body is polypropylene with titanium shaft. Flow velocity range is 0.3 to 20 ft / sec ( 0.1 to 6.0 M/sec ).
Max. Operating pressure is 180 PSI.
Power requirments : 5 to 24 VDC ( supplied by flow controller as indicated above. )
