Client Expansions - Update

Oct. 20, 1998

Our clients just seem to get bigger and bigger and bigger. One of our more recent projects.

Fall of 1997 - adding on bays 19 and 20 - another 14,000 sq. ft. - 98,000 sq. ft. total.

A view form the roof looking north. Roof framing just completed just waiting for the poly and a calm day to do it. Each of these roofs are 120 feet long.

A view from the roof looking south. You can notice the cable trays for light
suspension and power cabling is in. The tracks for the watering booms are in.
You may be wondering where I am standing??
The center of the buildinghas twinwall 8 mm polycarbonate
cladding with double 4 foot wide ridge vents
and I'm standing right up on the peak of the structure.

A view from the inside looking north. Note: We constructed this entire addition without compromising the rest of the greenhouse structure. The poly on the right is the former exterior wall. It was left up until we had the entire project closed in. In Western Canada it can get -30 to -40 deg. F ( without wind chill ) for many days at a time during the winter. This is one of the reasons the north gable end is insulated with 2" of spray insulation and covered with two coats of high gloss white protective spray on lagging coating.
